VersionDB vs Apollo
Apollo is a people database and sales platform, and plenty of technology-based lists get built in it. Its prices are per seat, billed monthly or annually, with emails and phone numbers paid for in credits.
Apollo pricing checked 22 September 2026 against their pricing page. Prices change, so check before you compare.
$65 buys one month of Apollo Basic, or 4,166 complete rows from VersionDB.
Apollo Basic includes 2,500 credits per seat a month. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, each for a single person, so the same $65 covers 2,500 emails, or about 277 people with both.
At VersionDB the same $65 is a one-off export of up to 4,166 sites. Each row carries everything we have on that site: its full tech stack with versions, and the emails, phone numbers and social profiles the company publishes on its own website. You keep the file and nothing renews.

What VersionDB does differently
A list without a sales platform
Every paid Apollo seat comes with sequences, a dialer, call recording, deal management and AI tooling. If you need a list of sites running a technology, VersionDB sells only that.
No seat subscription
Apollo Basic is $65 a seat each month, or $588 a seat paid upfront for the year. A VersionDB export is a single payment sized to your list.
Rows, not credits
In Apollo an email costs a credit and a phone number costs eight. A VersionDB row costs the same whatever it holds, and it holds everything we have on that site, emails, phones and social profiles included. You can filter on them too, for example only companies with a personnel email, a free address like Gmail, a mobile number or a personnel LinkedIn profile.
Versions on the row
Target WooCommerce 10.4.3 specifically instead of every store running WooCommerce.
The whole list at once
Apollo Basic lets you select 1,000 records at a time. A VersionDB export is every matching row in one CSV.
Search without an account
Build the filters, see the exact row count and price, then decide. You only enter an email at checkout so the CSV has somewhere to land.
Apollo is the better choice sometimes
- You need named people with job titles, not the contacts a company publishes on its own site.
- You need verified emails and direct phone numbers.
- You want sequences, dialling and deal management in the same tool.
- You need firmographic and buying intent filters.
- You prospect every week and the credits get used.
- You are targeting companies by what their website runs, down to the version.
- You want the list without buying seats on a sales platform.
- You buy lists now and then rather than every week.
- You want the exact price before you sign up.
- You want every contact on the row without spending credits.

FAQ
Questions people ask when they are weighing VersionDB against Apollo. Anything we have not covered, email us and ask us directly.
Because a lot of technology-based lists get built there, by filtering companies on the tools they use and then pulling contacts. VersionDB does the first half from the website itself, with versions, and includes the contacts that site publishes.
