Terms of Service

The usage of VersionDB is subject to these terms

1. Description of Service

VersionDB provides datasets for purchase. By purchasing a dataset, you gain access to a digital copy for use in your work, research, or projects. VersionDB acts as the provider of these datasets; we do not provide consulting, analysis, or additional services beyond delivering the dataset.

2. Purchases and Access

Access to the dataset requires a one-time payment. Payment can be made via Stripe or cryptocurrency. Payment confirms your right to download the dataset. There are no accounts, subscriptions, or recurring payments.

3. Intellectual Property

All datasets and content provided by VersionDB are the intellectual property of VersionDB. You may use the dataset for personal, commercial, or research purposes, but you may not redistribute, resell, or share it without explicit permission from VersionDB.

4. Refunds

We do not offer refunds for dissatisfaction or change of mind. Refunds may be granted only if the dataset was not delivered within 24 hours following a valid payment. If you have paid but did not receive access to the dataset, please contact us at jesse@versiondb.io to request a resolution.

5. Delivery

"Delivery" of a dataset occurs when VersionDB provides you with a URL granting access to download the purchased dataset. Once this link is provided, the dataset is considered delivered, and VersionDB's responsibility for storage, access, or preservation of the dataset ends.

You are responsible for providing a valid email address to receive the dataset after purchase. VersionDB cannot be held liable if an incorrect or inactive email address prevents delivery.

6. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

VersionDB provides datasets "as-is". We do not give any warranty, guarantee, or other term regarding the quality, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose of the datasets. VersionDB shall not be liable for any loss, damage, costs, or expenses, whether direct, indirect, special, or consequential, arising out of or in connection with your use of the datasets.

7. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the datasets. VersionDB is not responsible for any consequences arising from your use of the datasets.

8. Dataset Storage and Responsibility

Once a dataset has been delivered to you, you are solely responsible for storing and backing it up. VersionDB does not guarantee the storage of delivered datasets. While it may retain copies, it cannot ensure they will remain available. You are responsible for preserving your copy for future use.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in accordance with Australian law.

10. Changes to Terms

VersionDB may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the website or purchase of a dataset constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Privacy Protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we treat your personal data and protect your privacy when you use our Service. By using our Service, you agree that VersionDB can use such data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
